Aubrey Morrow is the President of Financial Designs, Ltd., a financial planning firm. Aubrey Morrow’s expertise in conceptual financial planning is reflected in the firm’s emphasis on estate planning, tax strategies, risk management, investment selection and retirement planning. Aubrey is a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner and Registered Representative offering securities and through Concorde Investment Services, LLC, member FINRA/SIPC, and advisory services through Concorde Asset Management, LLC, an SEC-registered investment advisor. He is licensed for securities and insurance in the state of California.
Aubrey is a well-known local and national speaker on a myriad of financial topics and is currently the host of “The Financial Advisors” Radio Series™ heard throughout Southern California on News Talk Radio AM 600 KOGO. Aubrey is the co-author of five books on financial planning and is also a current charter member of Torrey Pines Kiwanis Club.
Active in the financial community of San Diego since 1976, Aubrey has had an active and impactful history in the industry. Such experience includes serving as the technical advisor and host of the national PBS television series, The Financial Advisors, which addressed financial and estate planning issues.
Aubrey has served as a consultant to local charities and has taught courses on financial planning at both San Diego State University and the University of California San Diego’s Professional Extension. Aubrey was also a member of the San Diego Estate Planning Council and Planned Giving Roundtable of San Diego. He was a previous editor of Financial Advisor Pro, a monthly newsletter for financial advisors published by Harcourt Brace Professional Publishers.
Throughout his career, Aubrey has previously served on numerous boards, which include: the Board of Directors of banks and professional societies, the Boards of Directors of the San Diego Society of the Institute for Certified Financial Planners, past-President and Chairman of the Board for the San Diego Chapter of the International Association of Financial Planning, the National Board of Directors and the Ethics and Government Affairs Committees of I.A.F.P, and has served on the Financial Planning Program Advisory Board, Department of Finance of San Diego State University.
In addition to numerous board positions, Aubrey has also served on several committees of the National Board of Real Estate Investment Securities Association (REISA). He also had the opportunity to be an expert witness in FINRA (formerly NASD) and SEC arbitration cases relating to securities and insurance.
Born in Oxnard, California, he is a veteran officer of the United States Marine Corps and holds a business degree from the University of Southern Mississippi with advanced studies in accounting and economics. He resides with his family in San Diego.
